Rabbi Eli for me was a unique personality,
His Purim lessons were five and six hours, in preparation for the holidays and I said to myself, "How much can he already talk about the holiday?"
Then he would open before us mighty worlds of holiness and purity and depth.
I always wondered what he did before he was in a high seat. Then one day he just told us that he was teaching babies before he was in Shavei Hebron.
This further surprised me.
Rabbi Eli explained that one should know very well how to teach things simply and leave them in their greatness. Wondered his soul bundled in the bundle of life Amen!
