Border guard

A story that shows the very, very strong family in Rabbi Eli.

Since I was a young man, Rabbi Eli would invite me to a Purim meal at their house every year. The boys from the yeshiva would arrive, with all the rabbis, after the meal at the yeshiva and arrive towards the end of the meal. After we got married, we would continue to attend Purim meals with Rabbi Eli and one year, while I was teaching at the yeshiva, a demand came from the Rosh Yeshiva from the boys who wanted to eat the entire meal with the rabbis so that the meals would be more uplifting. That each class would dine at his rabbi's house. The yeshiva will take care of food, pots, equipment, everything ... so as not to burden the family.

This means that my wife and I will not be able to come and have a meal with Rabbi Eli. I called Rabbi Eli to consult with him on what he was saying, but he was upset that I had not seen anything like it. I felt that if I stood next to him it would be a danger, he almost exploded, he said 'I'm calling Rabbi Bleicher now, there can be no such thing, it's destroying the families. It can not be that the family ... can not be mixed. I'm calling him now. '

Rabbi Eli called Rabbi Bleicher, I did not hear the conversation, but apparently it was not simple. I called Rabbi Bleicher after that and he said to me: "Yes, Rabbi Eli spoke to me, he told me what he thought, but okay, so that they would not come to him."

Two leaderships, Rabbi Bleicher saw it as something that is good for the family as well: 'It's guys, it's exaltation. What is the problem? We bring them all the food, the cutlery and the dishes, and after that they will share the dishes and the floor ... everything is fine. '

For Rabbi Eli, it was "he will be killed and he will not pass," he will not rise and will not be!

We actually went at the end to eat the meal at Horowitz's. The conclusion was that we could be normal, just the families and after that we would go home to get the guys.
