We were close neighbors. One day I went out to the garden and saw Rabbi Eli working in the ground. I asked him what he was doing? He replied that he was preparing the area for planting flowers. I thought it would be a two-hour job and that's it. But for a few days I saw him instrument the area thoroughly.
Rebbetzin Dina was a very open person. Even in personal things.
