Once when we lived in Kiryat Moshe I took it upon myself to go a new way of studying, I was very happy and then my little daughter was hospitalized and the day she had to leave the hospital, my wife went to make a commitment and broke her leg.
The day my wife recovered from a broken leg and went to remove the cast, the porcelain (ceramic) in the wall of our kitchen fell and shattered. Until we brought in artisans and managed to get the porcelain back on the wall, I went out for thirty days of reserve. When I returned from the reserve my wife got jaundice.
I felt that maybe it was some sign that I did not understand its meaning.
Rabbi Tao came to visit one day and I told him I did not know what this sign was. Rabbi Tao replied that "this is a sign that you are on your way." It is that a person overcomes and all kinds of obstacles come so on the contrary one has to mature.
But this is not a simple and unequivocal thing. Need observation and research if this is the right way for a person.
