Rabbi Eli would not teach an orderly lesson at Independence Day.
On all the holidays he would give long lessons, and on the Independence Day that we so longed for - he would not give.
Sometimes he would teach something, but not a campaign like the rest of the holidays.
When we asked why? Rabbi Eli replied: "I have nothing on Independence Day, I have nothing to teach."
We were even more amazed. What does that mean? Then he replied: "All year long we learn about Independence Day: Kuzari, Orot, Maharal. That's all there is to understanding today's issue. So how do I deliver a lesson on Independence Day ??
